Classic and Better

This grade combines the natural beauty and unique characteristics of traditional mid grade flooring along with the top grades of flooring to produce a floor that displays more character than our Premium grade offers. Depending on the species of hardwood you will see some of the following characteristics in the Classic & Better grade; small knots, streaks, and unlimited natural colour variation. Coloured wood filler is used on any open characteristics that occur in this grade to produce a smooth surface of flooring. This grade is often chosen because of the natural character it will bring to a room! The 25 year limited warranty applies to this grade.

Country

The Country grade by Breeze Wood is a specialty grade only used in Red Oak. It is a unique grade that offers a lot of character appeal to those who enjoy the natural look of real wood. Our country grade is created using a combination of rustic boards and semi-rustic boards that were not chosen for our Select & Better Red Oak grade. The board lengths in this grade are primarily 10 to 40 inches, with the occasional longer board. Our Country grade has all the same milling and finish features as our other grade offerings. There are no warranties for this grade of flooring.

Plank

Have you heard the saying “everything that’s old is new again” lately? This grade of hardwood flooring takes you back in time to the days of wide and long length plank flooring! This style of floor was popular in the past and now it is making its comeback to modern homes and cottages! To understand this grade please reference the other Breeze Wood grade descriptions because the Plank grade is a combination of the of the Rustic grade and Classic & Better grade that produces a unique and appealing solid hardwood floor! The wider width of flooring in the Plank grade accentuates the wood grain beauty of the floor. The 25 year limited warranty applies to the Plank grade.

Premium

Premium is the clearest grade of hardwood flooring offered by Breeze Wood. This grade generally has the most consistent colour, limited character marks and longer average piece lengths. The shortest piece of flooring allowed in the Premium grade is 12 inches and the longest pieces are approximately 6.5 feet in length. There are no open characteristics in the Premium grade so therefore the floor does not require any wood filler. The 25 year limited warranty applies to this grade.

Rustic

The Rustic grade by Breeze Wood offers a value priced hardwood floor with all the same milling and finish features as our other grade offerings. This grade of flooring contains all of the natural wood characteristics that occur in hardwoods such as; colour variation, knots of all shapes and sizes, mineral streaks, checks, worm holes and grain burls. The majority of the open characteristics in the Rustic grade are filled with non-shrink wood filler, with the exception of those that are on the edge or end. The Rustic grade has the shortest average piece length of the Breeze Wood grades, most pieces will be 10 inches to 30 inches in length. The Rustic grade results in a very serviceable floor, which lends itself well to various decorating themes. The final look of the product will depend to a great extent on the skill and craftsmanship of the installer. There are no warranties for this grade of flooring.

Select and Better

The Select & Better grade by Breeze Wood allows only minor natural colour variation and small pin knots. More prominent natural hardwood characteristics are not allowed in the Select & Better grade. This grade is mostly clear resulting in a fairly consistent appearance in the floor. The 25 year limited warranty applies to this grade.
